Sizing GuidelinesWhenever you're having doubts about your size, it's always best to take a few measurements – Simple Abilities has provided the following charts to offer some suggestions. Sizes and measurement rules may change. Simple Abilities supplies the following information as reference material only. Professional expertise should be consulted to confirm your measurements and/or requirements. How to MeasureHeightStand straight and tall, in stocking feet, against the wall. Place a stiff paper on top of head, parallel to the floor and mark the wall. Measure from the mark to the floor. Chest/BustStand normally, arms at sides. Measure over the fullest part of chest/bust. Keep tape snug, not tight. For men, this may be under the arms at the widest area. InseamStand in stocking feet with legs slightly apart. Measure from the crotch, along the leg and down to the floor. HeadMeasure the circumference of the head with a tape measure, one inch (2.54cm) above the eyebrows. Upper BodyYou require the circumference, therefore wrap the measuring tape around you. If you have a Jacket or coat that fits well, measure that instead.
Foot MeasurementsBefore you begin, figure out whether you want them to be snug or loose fitting. Many professionals recommend that a good pair of shoes (or adaptive aids) should always start off a little snug, they will stretch and mold to your foot. However, the bottom line is that you are the ones wearing them and you should start off with the right fit for you. Wearing a pair of socks at the thickness that you would most likely be wearing with your shoes (or adaptive aids), take a piece of paper place it on a hard and even surface and begin. With a sharp pencil fully upright and "slightly" firm against your foot draw a pattern right around it. Be sure to apply pressure while you are sketching around it; remember your foot spreads as you stand.
With your foot planted firmly on the floor or stool, using a soft measuring tape, proceed to take your measurement as described below. In the event you don't have a cloth measuring tape, use a soft thin belt or a string, spread it out and measure the length.
GlovesGloves are designed to fit snugly so as to provide a good grip on the steering wheel. Keep in mind that kidskin leather is very supple and will stretch a small amount. To determine your glove size, measure around the top part of your hand (over the knuckles, excluding the thumb) and use the chart below:
